Following Government guidelines specific for student travel during the lockdown period (between 5 November and 2 December):

The Universities at Medway will remain open and travel from your term time address to the University for education will continue if there is a face to face component to your learning. If you live at the university, you must not move back and forward between your permanent home and student home. Although if you are a student who normally commutes from your permanent home address to the university, you can continue to do so for the purpose of education.

You must not travel if you are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, are self-isolating as a result of coronavirus symptoms, are sharing a household or support bubble with somebody with symptoms, or have been told to self-isolate after being contacted by NHS Test and Trace. The fine for breaching self isolation rules starts at £1,000. This could increase to up to £10,000 for repeat offences and the most serious breaches.
